DNA-HBV was lower than 1000 copies/ml. Tomography showed single mass occupying an important area of the right lobe of liver. The surgical intervention was indicated and resection of V, VI and part of VII hepatic segments with a security surgical margin of 5 cm plus cholecystectomy were performed. The histopathological examination diagnosed hepatocellular carcinoma with 13,0 x 12,0 x 11,0 cm in dimensions and liver parenchyma rounding the neoplasm did not show signs of cirrhosis.
