BITAR, Helder da Fonseca  and  BITAR, Daniel Fadul. Amastia: case report. Rev. Para. Med. [online]. 2006, vol.20, n.2, pp.61-63. ISSN 0101-5907.

OBJECTIVE: to report a case of amastia, clinicaly characterized by no development of the mamary gland. It‘s a benign disorder, usually unilateral and of rare occurance. CASE REPORT: patint of female sex, sixteen years old, without left breast. Menses at eleven yeas old and development of only right breast at age of 12. FINAL CONSIDERATIONS: in the case reported above, although without physical limitations, this pathology usually takes to unsatisfactory aesthetic results.
