OBJECTIVE: evaluate the epidemic, clinical profile and laboratorial of a population with linphadenopathy tuberculosis in Pará' State. METHOD: the sample was constituted of 53 patients with linphadenopathy tuberculosis diagnosis attended in infectious disesases service in João Barros Barreto Graduate Hospital, in Belém city, Pará State, from January 2002 until April 2005. The diagnosis was done through linphadenopathy biopsies, research of Ziehl-Neelsen coloration, M. tuberculosis culture or another clinical, epidemic criteria and laboratories. RESULTS: a men predominance was observed (3,8:1) and by heart drab (43,4%). The scale of age was 20 to 29 years (32%). The commoner clinical manifestations were fever and weigh loss. All of them begin clinical manifestations with linphadenopathy peripheric, being cervical jails the most pledged. Thirty seven patients done HIV exam, and twenty one were positive. Among linphadenopathy biopsies, 78,57% was compatible with tuberculosis . CONCLUSION: peripheric tuberculosis liphadenopathy getting more people of masculine sex between 20 until 29 years old. It noticed, as well, a suggestive correlation between tuberculosis linphadenopathy and AIDS regarding a worse prognosis of the disease.
