OBJECTIVE: To analyze the mastruz extract effect on the Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli cultures growth. METHOD: SaG composed for three Petri plates with S.aureus culture of stump, ATC 25923e in each one of them, put disks impregnated individually with mastruz, gentamicina and oxacilina. EcG stump 35218 composed by three Petri plates with E. coli cultures and in each one of them, paper filter impregnated respectively with mastruz, gentamicina and Oxacilina. RESULT: In SaG and in EcG, there was not inhibition induced halo by the mastruz extract. CONCLUSION: o mastruz extract doesn't have inhibition action on stump ATCC 25923 of S. aureus and to 35218 of E. coli.
