Abstract

PECHER, Simão Arão. Bronchial asthma in elderly. Rev. Para. Med. [online]. 2007, vol.21, n.3, pp.47-51. ISSN 0101-5907.

Bronchial Asthma begins in any age, since newborn until old age, with or no upper respiratory ways, but in oldness remains chronic state, while in childhood there is recurrence. The incidence of Asthma enlarged three times more in the last forty years, in any age. The absence of a educational program, the ignorance of its inflammatory character and standard treatment increase the incidence of this allergy. The mortality occurs much more in old people.
