The evolution of the concept of epidemic surveillance was presented in agreement with the medicine paradigm changes and with the progress of the epidemiology. It was presented the need of a tuberculosis system of information (TSI) to improvement the tuberculosis control program. These TSI could to identifie the operational and epidemic problems more accurate. It was showed the importance the interface of the TSI with other existent systems informations ordinary used in the country, as well as the analysis of this system. Indicators are presented, so much for PCT in the traditional form of operacionalization, as for they be used in the Family Medicine Program
