Abstract

BONTEMPO, Verlanda L et al. Análise das prescrições geradas pelas equipes do PSF e das unidades de atendimento imediato, em dois distritos sanitários do município de Contagem/MG. Bol. Pneumol. Sanit. [online]. 2003, vol.11, n.2, pp.17-24. ISSN 0103-460X.

3527 prescriptions (corresponding to 25% of April, 2000 prescriptions) in three Community Pharmacies generated by 54 Health Family Teams and two Urgency Unites in Contagem, were evaluated considering technical and legal parameters. The analysis showed that most of the users (~77%) pick up their medicines in the first two days after they receive their prescription. The average drug items prescribed per individual patient was 1,95, most of them (83,0%) from the Municipal Essential Drug List. Generic name appears in 85,9% of drug items prescribed. These results are very positive, but on the other hand the average of leading missing items found in the studied prescriptions, general dosing information (13,5%), route of administration (21,4%), duration of therapy (28,6%) and concentration (43,9%) is worth worrying and call for continuing medical education programmes.
